The Turing Scholars program is an academic honors program within UTCS directed by professor Calvin Lin, who established the program in 2006. Turing Scholars consists of about 200 UTCS students and accepts about 50 freshmen per year, creating a tight-knit community focused on research and academic challenges.Last year, the Business Honors Program admitted 244 students out of 1,828 applications, while the Turing Scholars Honors Program in computer science admitted 127 students out of 1,192 applicants. I would choose "normal" UT CS over Georgia Tech as well (unless instate/out of state tuition is a factor, I guess I might have chosen Georgia Tech if it were cheaper).
